The Calypso Wireless & Bluetooth WeatherFile Station allows users to view data locally within 50-70m (line of sight) of the sensor and remotely via any internet connected device via our cloud solution WeatherFile.com.
Data is transferred from the sensor to the NMEA to Bluetooth Low Energy Gateway. From here the data can be viewed through the Android App via Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity up to 20m from the NMEA to Bluetooth Low Energy Gateway (a maximum of 70m from the sensor). The App displays current wind speed, wind direction and temperature as well as a continuous 3 second gusting average meeting WMO (World Meteorological Organisation) guidelines.
Data is also transferred from the NMEA to Bluetooth Low Energy Gateway to the WeatherFile website were data can be viewed over the public internet/or locally on PC via a local Wi-Fi network or GSM mobile cellular connection. This approach stores data locally and within the WeatherFile cloud solution. Data can be downloaded from WeatherFile without restriction cost free in .CSV (Excel) format for analysis and reporting, email alerts can also be set for user defined wind speed thresholds.
This system offers the ideal solution when power availability is limited and/or the sensor location or distance does not allow for direct wiring, guaranteeing data collection and visibility.
