This MetConnect THP is an integrated weather station with sensors for air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure together with inputs for a tipping bucket rain gauge, platinum resistance temperature sensor (PRT) and two analogue sensors (0-5V or 4-20mA). The MetConnect THP is compatible with the WeatherFile Connection Unit (WCU) for internet connection and remote access to the weather information.

Designed and manufactured by Gill Instruments in the UK, MetConnect weather stations are the result of over 35 years of experience designing products for the professional weather market, and builds on the success of MetPak.
The Flexible high quality platform is the essence of MetConnect, allowing the user to select the sensors most relevant to their application, and easily combine data from those sensors with data from MetConnect’s integrated sensors. This approach reduces power and communications complexity and provides time synchronized data from multiple sensors.
MetConnect One is an easy to use integrated weather station. MetConnect THP is available if the application does not require wind measurement or the user wishes to select a remote anemometer.
Output protocol options for MetConnect weather stations include RS232, RS422, RS485, SDI-12 and MODBUS.

Ultrasonic technology allows MetConnect to deliver highly accurate measurements with no moving parts to wear or recalibrate. As a result, MetConnect is extremely reliable and low maintenance.

Three double-louvered naturally aspirated radiation shields deliver long term highly accurate weather data. Parameters measured include temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, absolute humidity, air density and wet bulb temperature. In addition, an integrated optical rain gauge senses rainfall as it hits its surface, automatically measuring the raindrops’ size and quantity. It then records the data from which it calculates and formats the output as if it were a traditional tipping bucket rain gauge in serial format.
The result is an extremely durable and cost effective maintenance free weather station, widely used for applications such as agriculture, health & safety, transport, education, energy and building controls.
Richard Paul Russell Ltd. can connect the sensor to the WeatherFile.com website where data can be viewed using any internet connected device and downloaded for detailed analysis in a .CSV file format.
