The SpaceLogger W10 Wind & Weather Logger has been developed for economic logging of real-time wind speed and direction data when using Gill Instruments' anemometers with a single serial output and for full environmental data logging from the MetPak Weather Station.
|WindLogger is compatible with the following Gill Instruments' meteorological sensors:|

• MaxiMet GMX 200, GMX 400, GMX 500, GMX 501 (& 501 GPS), GMX 531 (& 531 GPS), GMX 551, GMX 600
|These sensors may be set to output in the following compatible modes:|
• ASCII UV (or UVW) continuous
• ASCII Polar continuous (default setting)
• ASCII Tunnel continuous
• MODBUS RTU (MaxiMet GMX range)
WindLogger is also compatible with other sensors with RS232 serial output starting <STX> and ending <LF>.

WindLogger is ideal for field data acquisition due to its low power consumption, high capacity data storage and compact design.
Wind data is date and time-stamped and conveniently stored onto an SD card so no PC hook-up is required in the field.
A new data file (.CSV) is generated for each day's recording and when transferred to a PC, may be analysed with any standard spreadsheet program.
The WindLog.xls spreadsheet template may be used to import WindSonic data quickly to Excel.

With WindLogger, the logging interval may be selected from the WindSonic settings of 4, 2 or 1 reading per second, or set to one reading every 1 to 60 seconds. With a logging interval of one reading per second, using a 2GByte card, WindLogger will store up to 19 months worth of WindSonic data.
When logging from a WindSonic sensor, each data reading comprises up to 41 bytes. The following table gives the approximate capacity of various sized memory cards, depending on the logging interval selected, assuming a WindSonic sensor is connected:

WindLog is an Excel spreadsheet program to enable easy download of WindLogger .CSV data files into Excel. It is particularly useful when the data files for each day exceed the maximum number of lines that can be imported into one Excel worksheet. WindLog is only compatible with data recorded by a WindLogger from WindSonic sensors.
The data output format from the WindSonic sensor must be as per the default configuration of ASCII Polar Continuous.
